DIX Metals is home to a wide array of precise metal cutting equipment for the cutting and squaring of a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminum sheet and plate in 6061, 7075, 2024; tool steel and K100S Cast tooling plate. DIX Metals offers several methods of precision sawing, each intended for specific types of materials and configurations. DIX Metals provides anything from precision sawing of aluminum plate up to 12 inches thick to cut-off services of aluminum extrusions, bar, and round stock up to 6 inches in diameter.

DIX Metals provides metal cutting services to a wide range of industries including commercial, transportation, electronics, building and architects, medical, defense, oil and gas exploration, aerospace, packaging and others requiring the highest quality machine-ready blanks. While we offer metal cutting services primarily for stainless steel and aluminum plate and bar, DIX Metals can process nonstandard materials including plastics, thermoplastics, stone, marble, granite and composites.

We operate nine plate saws on multiple shifts and we have the capability to cut metal plate up to 12" thick. DIX metals cutting station also includes automatic cut-off saws, horizontal band saws and vertical band saws.

Precision Plate Sawing
DIX Metals can cut sheet and plate up to 12 inches thick. The resulting cut will hold parallel to .005 over a 6-inch long strip.

Horizontal Band Sawing
Flat and round stock up to 16 inches in diameter can be precision cut in horizontal band saws. Tolerances vary with the size of the piece, however, DIX Metals can hold consistent tolerances of +/-.015 with consistent parallel of .005.

Vertical Band Sawing
DIX Metals is capable of cutting aluminum circles and rings up to 6 inches thick and 60 inches in diameter.

Precision Cut-Off Sawing
Automatic cut-off saws make precision cuts in extrusion, flat bar and round rod stock up to 6 inches in diameter.

DIX Metals also operates a state-of-the-art water jet cutting department which features two waterjet systems including Flow Corp's newest 87,000 PSI technology on a dual head system, and a Dynamic head Waterjet with Active Tolerance Control.

Our Waterjet equipment provides an outstanding alternative to other cutting means such as Laser, Flame or Plasma Cutting. Additionally, waterjet cutting offers lower overall costs of because of faster production rates and truly optimal part positioning which substantially reduces material waste.
