Alpase K100S Cast Aluminum Tooling Plate

DIX Metals is a cost-effective and long-term supplier of your Alpase K100S cast aluminum tooling plate needs. Alpase K100S is produced using an aluminum alloy that is fine-grained and therefore has minimal internal stresses. K100S cast aluminum tooling plate comes with a flat surface – the surface finish is typically 18-19 micro-inches on both sides of the product.

Internally, this grade of aluminum is stable, which ensures that little movement is done during machining. Alpase K100S aluminum plate can be easily machined with minimal distortion and is capable of maintaining tolerances that are within the thousandths range. It is also popular for its high corrosion resistance, eliminating any need for protective treatment.

Additionally, Alpase K100S cast aluminum tooling plate is one-third the weight of steel making for an easier installation of the end product. It also provides a higher salvage value than steel when the tool is no longer needed. However, K100S provides less strength and isn’t heat treatable. The electrical conductivity of this metal is 29% (I.A.C.S.)

DIX Metals offers standard thickness tolerances of +/-.005” and a thickness range of 0.25” through 1.000”. Alpase K100S cast aluminum tooling plate can be ground or milled to your exact specifications.
